Happy thursday,

Curious about what to do this weekend?

Lets check ...

The Thanksgiving long weekend is here, and knowing what's open in Edmonton can save you from an unwanted surprise.

Edmonton Transit runs on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Monday, meaning reduced bus and LRT frequency β€” check your route ahead of time.

On-street parking is free across the city for the holiday.

All Edmonton Public Library branches will be closed, though digital services remain available around the clock.

City recreation centres are open with reduced hours, so call ahead to confirm your location.

The Edmonton Valley Zoo welcomes visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the Muttart Conservatory opens at 10 a.m. β€” both ideal for a family autumn outing.

Most major grocery stores will operate on reduced hours. Costco is expected to be closed.

Banks and government offices are closed, but malls and movie theatres are open.

A little planning goes a long way β€” enjoy the long weekend, Edmonton.
