The popular mochi donut spot is expanding...
Lets go ... |
Something sweet — and genuinely exciting — is reshaping Edmonton's dessert scene, and mochi donuts are leading the charge.
Mochido, originally launched in Vancouver in 2021, chose Edmonton for its bold comeback after closing earlier in 2025.
Its first location inside Northtown Centre's T&T Supermarket drew immediate lineups — and demand was so fierce that a south side location at 11013 26 Avenue NW followed shortly after.
Unlike conventional donuts, mochi donuts are crafted from glutinous rice flour and tapioca, producing a texture that is simultaneously fluffy, chewy, and impossible to put down.
Flavours range from matcha and taro to black sesame and brown sugar, often paired with fresh bubble teas.
Local favourite Hello Mochi has also carved out a devoted following, treating every donut as edible art.
Arrive early — these sell out fast, and Edmonton's mochi donut moment is very much here to stay. Read More... |
