February marks the return of Burger It Forward in Edmonton, a campaign uniting over 200 restaurants nationwide to fight food insecurity with the power of burgers.
Edmonton eateries join in by crafting signature Canadian beef burgers throughout the month, with Canada Beef donating a meal to Food Banks Canada for each burger sold, capped at 20,000 meals.
This effort uplifts local food banks and provides welcome support for Edmonton’s restaurant scene during tough economic times.
Beloved local spots, including past participants like Three Vikings and Jack’s Burger Shack, showcase inventive creations that spotlight the city's vibrant food culture.
Last year, the initiative raised over $67,000 and provided nearly 60,000 meals, making a direct impact on families in need.
Edmontonians are encouraged to join by sampling these burgers and sharing their support, helping make sure no one in the community goes hungry. Read More... |
