St. Albert's culinary scene is abuzz as local chocolatier Priya Winsor captivates audiences on the Food Network's 'Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking.'

As the owner of Compass Chocolates, Winsor has long been celebrated for her innovative confections. Now, she's bringing her distinctly Canadian touch to the magical world of baking.

Competing alongside teammate Molly Robbins, Winsor has faced challenges that push her creative boundaries. In one notable episode, the duo crafted an edible replica of Bellatrix Lestrange's Dagger, infusing it with Newfoundland sea salt and masala chai ganache - a nod to Winsor's heritage and Canada's diverse flavors.

Reflecting on her experience, Winsor shared, "It really gave me an opportunity to stretch my muscles and try something different -something bigger than what I thought I could do."

Her journey from Newfoundland to St. Albert and now to an international platform is a testament to her dedication and passion for the craft.

Back home, the community is rallying behind Winsor. Mayor Cathy Heron expressed, "Priya's achievements highlight the incredible talent we have in St. Albert. We're immensely proud of her representation on the global stage."

Winsor's participation comes at a time when St. Albert is experiencing significant growth. The recent groundbreaking of the Lakeview Business District, a 600-acre development, promises to bolster the city's economic landscape. Additionally, the East Village project is set to introduce a vibrant mixed-use community, further enhancing the city's appeal.

These developments, combined with Winsor's success, underscore St. Albert's emergence as a hub of innovation and culture.

As 'Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking' continues to air, residents eagerly anticipate Winsor's next magical creation, confident that her journey will inspire many more to pursue their passions.
