In the heart of Edmonton’s Little Italy, Giovanni Caboto Park serves as the cultural and historical anchor for the storied McCauley neighbourhood.
Once known as Patricia Square Park, it was renamed in 1981 to celebrate the deep-rooted contributions of Italian immigrants who shaped the community.
The park is a hub of activity, featuring the solemn Edmonton-Ortona Friendship Fountain and a cherished statue of Frank Spinelli, the legendary founder of the Italian Centre Shop.
It’s a central gathering place, hosting beloved annual events like Festa Italiana that bring the entire city together to celebrate.
