Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen Set to Ignite Edmonton’s Culinary Scene |
Anticipation Builds as River Cree Resort & Casino Prepares for Canada's First Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant |
Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen is poised to make its Canadian debut at the River Cree Resort & Casino, marking a significant milestone in Edmonton's evolving culinary landscape.
The announcement has generated considerable excitement among food enthusiasts and local residents alike. Bringing the renowned chef's signature dishes and dynamic dining experience to the region, this establishment is expected to become a cornerstone of Edmonton's gastronomic offerings.
In a statement, Gordon Ramsay expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m delighted to announce that my new Hell’s Kitchen will be opening at the River Cree Resort early next year.” He added, “We always receive such a warm welcome in Canada, and I’m excited to see the new restaurant come to life over the next few months.”
The decision to open the first Canadian Hell’s Kitchen at River Cree Resort & Casino was the culmination of extensive discussions and planning. Vik Mahajan, CEO and General Manager of River Cree, highlighted the significance of this partnership: “We’ve been working on this deal with the Ramsay group for a while. It’s been five or six months of back-and-forth, and them also visiting our property and so on. Because, of course, it’s a big deal to get a Hell’s Kitchen anywhere, and especially being the first in Canada.”
Mahajan emphasized the strategic importance of introducing Ramsay’s top brand to the resort: “I wanted to bring nothing but his top brand.” He further noted that Hell’s Kitchen is the chef’s “No. 1 brand.”
The addition of Hell’s Kitchen is part of a broader $200 million expansion at River Cree Resort & Casino. This ambitious project includes the construction of an 18-story hotel tower featuring 230 rooms, over 30 luxury suites, a pool area with two waterslides, and more than 40,000 square feet of event space. The expansion aims to enhance the resort's appeal as a premier destination for both local and international visitors.
Mahajan underscored the broader impact of these developments: “It is on people’s bucket list to go visit Hell’s Kitchen or a Ramsay concept. So, having that definitely will attract people to the property, not just from within Edmonton or Alberta but outside the province and even people coming into Canada from the States or other countries. It’s big.”
The Enoch Cree Nation, which owns and operates the River Cree Resort & Casino, has been actively investing in the property to bolster its economic success. The expansion project is entirely self-funded, reflecting the Nation's commitment to sustainable growth and community development.
As the opening date approaches, anticipation continues to build. The introduction of Hell’s Kitchen is expected to not only elevate Edmonton's dining scene but also contribute significantly to the local economy by attracting tourists and creating job opportunities.
Residents and visitors alike are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to experience the unique culinary offerings and vibrant atmosphere that Hell’s Kitchen promises to deliver. With its combination of world-class cuisine and immersive dining experience, the restaurant is set to become a landmark destination in Edmonton.
As the countdown to early 2026 continues, the excitement surrounding Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen at River Cree Resort & Casino serves as a testament to Edmonton's growing prominence on the global culinary stage. |
